Dental Scaling & Polishing (Cleaning)
Dental cleaning process is known as Scaling & Polishing. Scaling is a dental process that involves removing the calculus deposits or stains on the teeth. Polishing, on the other hand, is the process of smoothing the teeth as scaling can make the teeth feel rough. During this time, the dentist may also provide additional protection to the teeth by applying a small amount of fluoride. This process takes 10-15 minutes.
Teeth whitening process will take 15-20 minutes.

Whats Involved?
Dental cleaning involves removal of plaque (soft sticky layer of bacteria, food and saliva), hard tarter deposit build up on the tooth over time.
We at Bhandari Dental Care, use special instruments to gently remove this deposits despite their extend without harming your teeth or gums. We use ultra sonic scaler which has different size tips kept in motion around the teeth, its sole purpose is to knock tarter loose. Once the surface of the teeth are smooth, we then do polishing using a motorised soft rubber cup with the polishing paste to remove surface stains and leaving your gum and bone healthy and teeth beautifully shining & smooth.
What you can expect
- We start with a physical examination of your entire mouth before the actual cleaning
- Should we find plaque, tartar around your gum line, between the teeth, we begin
- Using a small mirror to guide our dental hygienist through your mouth, we get rid of it, using a scaler through scraping, brushing and flossing
- Polishing using high-powered electric brush, a little grinding, and deep cleaning will and remove all tartar and leave a cleaned teeth
- Our dentist may thoroughly floss your mouth in the cleaning session, finding any any hidden spots, and checking any cause for bleeding gums, remove any remnant plaque and toothpastes
- Finally we rinse your mouth to get rid of the debris, using a rinse (liquid) that is rich in fluoride
